At Hum Karigar, our story begins—and continues—with the true heroes of Indian handicraft: the artisans and craftsmen. They are the soul of our brand, the heartbeat of every creation, and the inspiration behind our journey. With generations of skill passed down through time, their hands craft not just products, but living stories of India’s rich cultural heritage.
We’re here to support them, celebrate their skills, and make sure their work gets the value and respect it deserves. When you choose us, you’re not just buying art—you’re empowering the hands that create it, while ensuring for yourself a genuine handcrafted product.
Blending artistic flair with business acumen, Hum Karigar is the brainchild of Jyoti—an entrepreneur and trained Tanjore artist whose venture not only reflects her creative vision but also resonates deeply with her soul.
Fondly known as Kishor among his friends and colleagues, Chandrakishor’s Hum Karigar is a journey where craftsmanship and entrepreneurship come together, reflecting his profound passion and purpose.
Chandrakishor & Jyoti, the brother-sister duo, began the Hum Karigar journey to celebrate and promote Indian handicrafts across India and abroad. With over 25 plus years of business experience, they bring strong leadership and deep industry insight to the brand.
Operating out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu Jyoti leads the management and marketing efforts, ensuring smooth operations and strategic growth for the brand. Based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Chandrakishor collaborates closely with skilled craftsmen and artisans to deliver exceptional quality in both production and services. Both Jyoti and Chandrakishor are deeply involved in every stage of order execution, starting from receiving an order to crafting the product, packaging it with care, and ensuring safe delivery.
Together, they strive to provide fair value to every artisan and deliver genuine handcrafted products to every customer.
Outside of work, Jyoti finds joy in nature, loves getting lost in a good book, enjoys soulful music, and delights in cooking. Chandrakishor, on the other hand, is an avid traveler known for his quick wit, infectious energy, and ability to light up any room with his humor.
